Bringing the sun closer

Character arcs:

Surya - The narrator

He has a conflict and he resolved it already.

Now he lives in the shadows and narrates how he resolved his conflict.

Cinematography:

I always feel every shot should tell a story on its own, and I can’t find a better shot than..

Silhouette shot - The real Sun, Surya in pure Chaya (shadow) and the hat (the character he is going to play).

Techniques:

The technique I used for this particular shot is “Background compression”

I wanted the Sun to appear as close as Surya, otherwise it would have been just a normal shot

I used a Sony 100-400GM to achieve this (I rented it for $20 though)

Since I self filmed everything, you should have seen my struggles to shoot this.

I’ll never forget making this.
